My Background
I have consulted with families and coached people with Autism and other developmental delays since 1994. I have worked in homes, schools, and community settings in Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, and now the Portland Metro Area.
Philosophy
I believe all people are capable of learning new habits and gaining new knowledge. I also believe this learning is only possible when the learner experiences trust and respect in the relationship with their guide. My consultation and tutoring are centered on this foundation of a trusting partnership. Whether it be Academic Coaching to support a middle schooler to complete homework assignments or consultation to a family struggling with the nuances of their high schooler using social media, I focus on first building trust and then collaborating with everyone to find sustainable solutions.
